In 1959, Donald Fredricks founded Fredricks Construction Company, Inc. as a masonry contracting company. Over the years, we have evolved as a full service construction company that has integrated pre-engineered steel, general contracting, in-house excavating, miscellaneous and ornamental steel fabrication as well as structural steel fabrication to our ever-expanding list of services.

Today, the company is known as FCC, Inc. and is led by Tim Fredricks, Donald’s son, and Byrne Harmon. Having grown up in the industry, Tim brings more than just years of experience to his clients; he brings a passion and well-honed vision for the possibilities in construction. Together, with a professional team of experts, these leaders remain on the cutting edge of new techniques and practices that avail their clients of the latest practices.

The excavation department of FCC is proficient in all types of site work including underground utilities, parking lots, drives and buildings. We have been involved in projects located in the Grand Rapids area to as far away as Tel Aviv, Israel. Our experience encompasses all aspects of the construction process and we feature a wide array of project types, bringing our client’s innovative and flexible options to suit their specific needs.
